Currently we plan to go to the Komodo Resort and maybe to the The Seraya as well.
This seems to be pricey but we did not find an alternative with a house reef while I will be diving.

Has someone been on Flores and is it worth to stay there / visit some parts or just fly to Labuan Bajo - go to the islands and fly back to Bali?

You will have some information in this thread below regarding the Flores island crossing from Labuan Bajo to Maumere (check out posts #14 &15). Flores is really a nice island, I did the trip with a private driver in 4 days along with wife and teen daughter.

Ok thanks I will check on Flores as well.

Do you think it is worth to stay longer than e.g 6 days on Komodo / Flores for Diving compared to staying on Bali / Gili Air.
Komodo seems to be much more expensive and I am not sure if it will be interesting for the family after a few days.

Do you also have any suggestions for Gili Air ? (Resort/ Diving?)

The Dragon is probably the only attraction for the 6 and 9 yrs old kids in Komodo. What do I know about kid?
There are many resorts in Gili Air to satisfy all walk of life. And the kids might require certain facilities that I am not not aware of.
Really need to discuss in detail with the operator on diving/snorkelling with kids.

There really is not much to do in Labuan Bajo (where you stay to dive Komodo), day trips are long and I’m not sure I would take kids, so if you’re not going on a liveaboard spend maximum 3 nights.

We currently plan to stay on the Komodo Island Resort (www.komodoresort.com), as this resort seems to be closer to the dive spots compared to staying in Labuan Bajo.
But it is very pricey (even the trips for kids are quite expensive).

We are not really sure about the length of our stay 5 or 6 nights. Has someone of you stayed in this resort?

Scuba Junkie Komodo.
The boat usually goes out for three dives,
On your departure, the transfer usually stops at the Dragon Park before heading back to Labuan Bajo. If your flight leaves late in the afternoon then there is no need to stay overnight in that dusty little town.
Please enquire with SJ for detail.

As I am traveling with my 2 Kids - This seems to be an issue with scuba junkies- so we probably Need to search for alternatives
