As an instructor I would strongly recommend you start scuba diving! However i would not say you should be looking for the same 'thrill' in recreational diving as the one you get skydiveing. If you get that thrill underwater its that your probably exposing yourself to very risky situations - i wont go into details!
Technical diving on the otherhand is a great option for you. Its a great way to get that amazing sensation that your doing something or going somewhere few people have ever been before. Even though the risks are way higher - they teach you to manage those risks and properly understand and minimise them .
