I agree with xman. You need to clarify when posting in this area that you are doing "your extreme, remote, advanced tech. diving"
The purpose of my post was to gain info and present an occurance that happened to me. Yes, I was ccr diving, but not remotely. I didn't just rush to get my rash checked out. I waited 48 hours and contacted DAN. really wasn't bothered, just perplexed by this mild rash. Was flying out in 10 hours and just wanted to run by them. During plane ride I knew something was up. At this point(upon landing) did I rush "to check my rash" to the hospital with chamber. Thank God I didn't blow it off becuase "it was just skin bends" Any occurance of symtoms during altituded should be addressed.
I don't care how "ADVANCED" diver you are. Expected better info from you!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, decompression is not "finished" once you hit the surface. Think about it. If this were true, there would be no proscriptions on flying or exercising after diving. There would be no such concept as residual nitrogen time. Sleeping slows down circulation such that the offgassing process is impeded. For a more authoritative explanation of this, post a question on the Ask Dr. Deco forum. I just attended Dr. Powell's Advanced Decompression Physiology seminar and he does address this in depth in his presentation.
Thank you so much for this and I will check that out
I would love to learn and do a job in hyperbaric medicine someday. I am so fasinated with all that involves diving.

I think I did say the dives were extreme dives in remote locations. I should have known better than to make a quote about decompression, DCS, or treatment options here on the Scuba Board. Would have been much better to make the statement on "The Deco Stop"

I agree. Sometimes there's too many "You mean you DIDN'T get your Drysuit O2 cleaned before using it with 32%??????????? OMG OMG WTF LOL!" posts for my taste.

Even so, until you posted. I had never heard of Santa Claus or weakness bends. Where can I get more info?
I occasionally get the finger tingling mentioned, and it could be just the cold, or it could be something else.

Peter

(and yes, some people should give others credit for a bit of common sense!)
