sipadan seasons weather and diving

Historically how is the weather around sipadan over christmas, from what i i've read this is the middle of the rainy season, but im not sure what that means. Should i expect rain all day everyday or isolated showers? I will be travelling with a none diver, the rain wouldnt bother me underwater but i can't really leave my friend stuck in all day.

I have been to Sipadan in may, would the diving there in Dec differ at all? I saw all the usual suspects sharks, Barracuda, Jacks and bumpheads...

Probably some rain every day (an hour here and there) but not all day. Expect mostly cloudy days though. I would not want to be a non-diver hanging out at Mabul / Kapalai or the rig though - even in lovely weather. Expect viz to be less in December but you should not miss any of the usuals.
