The Smartphone Dive Computer app includes a sensor simulator mode that allows you to get familiar with the app without getting wet.

To enable the sensor simulator go to the open mode, tap on Smart Dive Buddy sensor and then enable the simulator.

The sensor simulator replaces the Smart Dive Buddy sensor and is controlled by simple gestures: tilt down your smartphone to descend, hold it at about 45 degrees to hold your position, tilt it up to ascend.
If the SDC app is in any of the modes that requires the sensor (Gauge, Air Dive computer or Nitrox Dive computer) you will see 3 additional buttons that controls the dive simulation.

Tap the Start button to begin your dive and the depth and temperature values will change according to your gestures.

If the SDC app is in Air Dive Computer or Nitrox Dive Computer mode, you will be able to fine tune your virtual ascent speed (by tilting the smartphone up) by watching the Ascent Rate Indicator bar graph. If you put the smartphone vertical you will be ascending too fast and the SDC will display proper alarm. If that happens, just tilt down the smartphone to slow down your ascent

You can pause a dive at any time by just tapping on the Pause button.

You can use the Time Warp button to accelerate your dive (this comes handy if you want to send the SDC in deco )

Lastly, you can use the Stop / Cancel button to either delete a dive in progress or, once you are back to the surface, to create a log of the dive.
