We've got a one poster telling us how great Silverstone is and a two poster telling us how bad it is.

I'm just wondering who "Divers Expo" is and whether their costumers (Ha!) should expect a 7/15 or 15/30 return policy. (Shall we say that their shipping info page is a bit out of kilter?)

The simple fact is that the site still has "Divers Expo" and "diversexpo.com" plastered all over it (the "Current Specials" link even has "DiversExpro->Current Specials" at the top) and other parts are grossly incomplete (the "affiliate" information and FAQ are blank templates, for example). Add to that the fact that DiversExpo.com and SilverstoneDiveShop.com are registered to two different people with different addresses in Monroe, NY, and I have approximately zero confidence in the operation.

Assuming this wasn't just a one-off spam and that you're really going to come back, take my advice and go through your site (or perhaps start over from scratch), and once you have it in good order, let us know and we can take another look at it. We'll certainly find what you missed.

(Oh, and posting such a blatantly spam-like post in what appears to be about the most transparently misguided attempt at astroturfing is quite likely to ensure that you have a *very* long way to go before you gain confidence here. Saying, "Hey, guys, I'm starting a new dive shop. Want to let me know what you think?" is likely to get mixed reviews, but posting, "Well, lookie there, it's the best shop since ScubaToys met Baskin Robbins!" is shooting the moon. Either we'll agree and congratulate you, or we'll take a look, find it sorely lacking, and ridicule you for your hubris, and very few make it to the congratulatory route. :D)

One last bit of advice: Nobody, and I mean *NOBODY*, ever posts about a shop with the name in large, colorful, centered letters with a very short note about it being the best thing ever (with no comparisons or other information) followed by a large print bold note about them being "all authorized", with the whole ad... er, "post"... centered. If you want to spam and astroturf, at least get someone to proofread it, and make it look at least a *little* like a legitimate post.

Looked up the addresses on Google Earth also.

One looks too small to have all the inventory they claim, so I'm thinking they're just a re-seller (maybe).

later edit: Maybe there should be some sort of vetting process before businesses are allowed to post here in the classifieds. At least to prove the legitimacy of the operation and the poster. Like a BBB reference or business license...

Kind of odd that Joel and Isaac have different last names but the same e-mail address also.
The house is a home address, but on the shipping page, you see the same office address as Silverstone Wireless, but called Divers Expo.

Gee, a poor guy can't get anything past you guys. They are only trying to follow the "rags to riches" formula everyone finds in the scuba industry. Thanks.
