Those of you who wear the square cut Speedo's, do they tend to ride up?
-Bryan

I've got the speedo jammers, 30 bucks at any sports store. They don't ride or bunch up in wetsuits. Have a pair of board shorts to put over them after the dive.

Lycra running shorts work for me.
Oh, by the way, for all you speedo wearers out there, please remember that the potato goes in the front.:D

The ladies seem to love it when I wear this:

Ok, so is it REALLY bad that I wear my Calvins under my wetsuit?? I would prefer to wear nothing, BUT, I am sooo afraid of getting into trouble and them having to cut my wetsuit off only to find Mr. Happy poking out.

I grew up in Southern Calif and have changed my trunks out from my surfing wetsuit with only a towel on since I can remember... its just part of living on the beach.

Why do you need to wear anything under your wetsuit? ;-)

I like to wear U.S.N. Swimmer shorts, the down side is there is nothing to keep the jews from peeking out the leg holes.

I recomend a company out of Santa Barbara, CA called Aeroskins. They make shorts and swim wear out of polypropolene which has a slight thermal property and dries out fast after a dive. My only pair has sadly lost their waist elasticity.

Seriously, working divers and those of us that do serious research diving don't wear anything under the wet suit. It is more comfortable, less stiff to wash later and the wet suit will have less free space in it for water to circulate through.

I just read the post by JessH, commercial divers in the Gulf of Mexico where the water is 70 to 80 in the summer wear jeans as their wet suit to go to work at depth. Saves on buying an expensive neoprene suit and trae it up on barnicles.

What? No style points in diving? What with the stringy hair, no make up, 3 day old beards and boogers hanging out of your nose - how much more attractive can we be?

You obviously haven't seen the studly guy climbing the boat ladder in the white rash guard with his mask on the back of his head in the Halcyon ads.

JohnnyH:
For me, the smaller the better as to reduce the "bunch-up" potential, but I need the square legs.

Anyway - glad for the thread!

John

Mental image of Homer Simpson continuing to put on additional pair but not knowing where that last pair had gone to...

I haven't seen jeans, but I have seen cargo pants a number of times. My favorite is the cargo pants/hooded vest combo.
