Probably as stated in the long run it would of been cheaper to refund the money. What is the price of bad publicity in the age of 24-7 internet?

Pretty expensive if that becomes every vacationing diver's modus operandi.

If you like going in out in 20' seas so be it! I personally do not and that is the good thing about choices.

Wave inflation?

Day 2
We arrived at the dock with about the same conditions forecast ahead. We did have 3 other divers on the boat and the same guide arrived for us. Half way out to the grove hell broke loose. We started to hit 6-10's. Check silent worlds facebook post as they tried to downplay it by saying 5-8's.

We dove with Silent World several years ago and we would not use them again. We had more seasick snorklers on our boat than divers. We couldn't even get out of the water and get our gear off with 10 to 12 seasick people laying all over the small boat. They also took us to Spiegel Grove and dropped us off in an extreme current and wished us well. 13 minutes later we were struggling to find the boat and were happy our dive was over.

Don't remember how long ago this was but the Grove was still sitting on her side!!

Thanks, your experience dating back to before the change in ownership that brought about this thread is really helpful.
