Let’s see.
1. Decide what gear you absolutely have to have.
2. Scour the internet to find it.
3. Once found, strike a deal.
4. Obtain gear in mail or in person.
6. Fanatic over the restoration/rebuild
7. Brag about your find on scubaboard.
8. Use the gear.

What are the other four steps?
9. Sell gear to help pay for other gear you haven’t tried

10. Ship gear to fellow addict.

11. Miss old gear

12. Sell new/old gear to fund replacement old/old gear.

Un-admitted 13th step, repeat…

Perhaps we should form a Regulators Anonymous and hold Zoom meetings wherein we must admit to being a regaholic. My fear is though that it would simply encourage reg-envy and further reg-hording.
The first step is admitting that you’re a reg-a-holic, and most here would never do that. They don’t think they have a problem. When does casual gear collecting become a problem? Is there such a thing as responsible reg hoarding?
Yeah, all that would lead to is more regaholism by enabling these addicts.
That would be like giving free vodka to an alcoholic and then telling them they shouldn’t drink.
