You have to start somewhere, in pieces or any condition never was I happier than when I swapped to compressors

What am I looking at, and why am I drawn to it? (i get the compressor in the center but what does this contraption do?)

Wait that’s an option now, to collect compressors? Talk about different leagues

Applies equally to guns, regs, tanks, radios, tools, etc...

Um, well, yes I DO have four torque wrenches - why do you ask?

That drawer of screwdrivers? Yeah, those are the assorted straight and phillips. The assorted torx and hex drivers are in the drawer below, the jeweler's and stubbies are in the drawer above.

The good sets are in the machinist cabinet. There's another decent set on the bench. Plus a couple more over by the press, three next to the vice, couple upstairs in my office, couple more in the truck, and probably a couple more in the tool drawer in the kitchen.

Hammers? Yeah, they're in that drawer. And in the truck. And in the kitchen tool drawer. And in the shed.

What was your question?

Oh great, now I’m screwed!
Somebody had to mention compressors.
Why don’t we just talk about boats then so we can all go broke?!!
I’m still trying to get over collecting vintage gear and tanks.
At least I’m not as bad as my Swedish uncle (on my mother’s side), he had a Volvo fetish. His wife would come home and there’d be five brand new Volvo’s in the driveway.

I’m sure they love him over at Mölndal.

Four divers in family, 12 regulators. Most of the time we just use same set of 4 regs. I keep another couple for SM rigs, the rest I should probably donate to someone who will actually dive them and enjoy- no point in having them run dry.

Can't beat a volvo man

Finally finished wiring him up the contraption today hooray hooray hooray

Booster about a grand all Aussie money, Bauer compressor smooth quiet almost soothing
from the compressor shop from the fire station serviced they insisted, 5 grand, shiny silver
cars 13 grand, the grass was free, came with the house, and I dive with a diver, with Apeks
3 grand rec reg set, and they say a diving life is expensive, for some, and for some it is not

and I put the cars there so the movers could have access, I try not to do too much moving

unfortunately i have entered a twelve step program for gear fetish
Let’s see.
1. Decide what gear you absolutely have to have.
2. Scour the internet to find it.
3. Once found, strike a deal.
4. Obtain gear in mail or in person.
6. Fanatic over the restoration/rebuild
7. Brag about your find on scubaboard.
8. Use the gear.

What are the other four steps?

Perhaps we should form a Regulators Anonymous and hold Zoom meetings wherein we must admit to being a regaholic. My fear is though that it would simply encourage reg-envy and further reg-hording.
