As far as the standardization, what if two divers are diving the same sidemount rig?

Then they're being smart about diving sidemount.

I wouldn't call it DIR though, because if a DIR diver joined the team, they'd be used to, and expecting, something different.

Of course, that's just an assumption based on my limited experiece in a fundies class. It certainly isn't gospel.
 
So, I have one of Curt's Armadillos. Anyone in the market for some tank bands is all I can say. I got five dives in this weekend. I really like it. Curt How do you rig your stages? one of my buddies, has a dring on the tank band and that works good for him I havent tried it yet as I now have 6 dives in the rig and I think I have it pretty well trimmed for me. if everyone in the team was diving side mount, and all the same would that not be dir?
