Hi Guys:

I have a Whites Fusion drysuit with the Si Tech NeckTite ring. I would like to remove it and use a standard latex seal. The ring is just too wide for my shoulders and push the straps of my harness to the side. I have noticed that Whites has sewn and glued the ring into the suit. Can someone give me some tips into removing the neck ring?

Thanks,
O

I had mine removed for the same reason. Since you need to replace it after the removal, I'd suggest sending the suit into Dive Right in Scuba and have them do the entire job. Or you might consider replacing the NeckTite with the new and improved version which is reportedly more flexible. Again DRIS would know about that.

If you are DIY friendly, you can use a seam ripper for the threads, and a heat gun to loosen the glue.

The hole that is left is large, but there are videos that help showing how to divide sections of the seal and the hole in the suit in quarters in order to make the process easier and neater.
