smboyles, got your picture last night and it looks like it was in land mode which is why they are bluish. Also looks like the flash was turned off. were you in shallow water with a lot of surface light?

yes the flash was off and yes i was in 40-60 feet of water with lots of surface light.

General note. If I am underwater, the flash is on.

As a rule of thumb, when using the camera by itself and anything really deeper than 15 feet, keep in sea mode so that the color correction can take effect. If you are deeper or if it is extremely overcast and lighting is poor, you can then use the internal flash but with the understanding that under water it won't travel much furhter than 2-3 feet in good vis.

yeah, good info. I had it in sea mode once while snorkeling and the pictures came out all red. In sea mode without a flash at 40 feet and further it was great. I occassionally used the flash but for the most part I found I didn't have to.
