Wow, there are some great shots here. This thread inspired me to have a bash at organsing my 3.5 years worth of diving photos... several hours later & it's been an incredible trip down memory lane for me.

I didn't realise how much fun I have had, how many places I have been priviledged enough to visit and how many amazing people I've met since I started scuba diving.

Here are some a few of the photo's that bring back the most memories for me... not the sharpest, most well composed or best lit - just the most evocative ones for me personally. I didn't link them all into this thread, it you want to see more you can follow this link

Wow Geoff H, I'm really impressed. You've been hiding your light under a bushel; I had no idea you were such a good UW photographer.

Rynomar:
Did you spot that Splendid Toadfish in Cozumel? I have not spotted any of the splendid fellas yet but I am looking foreward to it. We did see a Large Eye Toadfish in Roatan that was quite a character. Here is another shot that was almost a good one.
Yeah, that's where I see Toadfish... lots of them now that I know where to look. I once saw a Big-Eyed Toadfish on a night dive in Cozumel but wasn't lucky enough get a picture.

Here is my best attempt at a Puffer. IIRC, it was at about 4.5k knots. :) Suckers are fast and they know how to spot out cameras. It wasn't even worth post editing and I'm surprised I didn't send it to the bit-bucket.

They are pretty quick, but they are also very photogenic. I guess you will have to keep trying.

Someone has probably beaten me to the "punch," but my favorite shot is Jose Quervo Gold!

My favorite wide angle shot is of Scott Webb making a backroll at the Avalon wreck. It's my first cover shot. It's on the cover of the 2008 Divebums calender.

My favorite macro shot using a cheap point & shoot without a strobe is a Hermissenda crassicornis at Marineland. I held my HID light in one hand, steadied the camera with another and used my chest against the rock to fight the surge.

MaxBottomtime, those are both great shots. The Hermissenda crassicornis turned out great.

Drbill - if your favourite shot is Jose Quervo Gold, why would you bother with the punch?

I love the shots taken with the HID light. I wonder how daylight balanced film will handle it.

Here is one of my better ones taken with flash. Often it is too harsh: Anyone know what kind of shrimp that is?
