Shortening a LP inflator hose

What length do you consider "perfect" for a shortened comfort swivel hose? I know everyone's routing is different, but I wouldn't mind a starting point.

Also, can a swivel repair kit be re-used? Such as, cut hose to X length, add repair kit, decide to cut off another inch, re-use the same repair kit etc etc.
For me, a necklace hose is about 22"
If you're going to do a "standard" PADI hose routing, just play with it and pull off enough to get rid of that huge extra length that drops off your shoulder on land and lies out there in the breeze underwater.

Even looking all the way to the left, you'd still have plenty of extra hose out there creating drag.

Yes, you can reuse the kit many times, as long as you unscrew the inner threaded portion carefully. If you leave it a hair long, unscrew it, cut off an inch and screw the end back on.
