I'm built like an American football nose tackle in miniature--- 5'5", about 170 lbs, broad shoulders and chest, really short legs. Not suprisingly, wetsuit fitting has been a challenge. I've basically had to take Large suits suits and roll up the legs and arms, which is not ideal.

Does anyone know of particular manufacturers that tend to cut their suits more in my direction? I know I will have to try them on, but it would be nice to know where to start first. I fear that custom may have to be the way to go, but I would like to exhaust other options first.

Shark, I'm 5'6", 180, 41" chest, 36" waist, 28" inseam. I find the Bare Medium Large Short fits me well. I have an Elastek 3mm fullsuit I love. I recently purchased a used Bare Large Short Trilam HD Tech drysuit. I had to send it back to Bare to have the legs shortened and medium boots installed. Had I bought it new I would have ordered it in MLS. Bare has a great warranty also. I returned my 3mm when a small seam separation appeared on the wrist. I sent it along with the drysuit, no charge for the wetsuit repair.

Thanks Tom. Looking at their size chart, I think Bare is definitely the place to start. My LDS doesn't carry them (I don't think), so I'll have to dig around.
