I am looking for new shore dive locations in Lakes anywhere in western new york within 2 hours of rochester, new york (i.e. southern areas of lake ontario, all of the finger lakes, eastern areas of lake erie, etc...)

also - if I see a "no swimming allowed" sign on a shore, does that mean just swimmers - or does it also include scuba divers? (we're diving, not swimming :eyebrow: )

I did a bunch of dives in the Niagara River after the Peace Bridge on both sides of the border. I'm talking about Fort Erie, Ont or Tonawanda, NY It has been awhile since I moved, and I can't remember the parking areas we used. The only thing is, you need a chase car to get back to your parking area due to the current.

Did a couple of boat dives on Canandaigua Lake while back. There are also reported to be shore-accessable dives around the lake. Best resource I've found is the Pisces Divers website which has a map. They also run a great boat.
