But be aware- as I am finding- the best shore dives are on the North Shore and right now the big waves are starting to come in- the north shore (as I'm sure others more knowledgeable than I can tell you) is home of championship surfing in the winter months when they close the beaches to normal people- you aren't even allowed near the waterline. The waves are incredibly huge.
