Hello, Conch Divers!!!

I am trying to arrage a trip to Key Largo. Heard a lot of impressive stories there, but they were all about boat dives. To save some money and make the best of my time spending there, is there any shop supply shore dive?

Will you suggest combining some boat dives and shore dive there?:eyebrow:

Thanks!

Yep Walter is right. There are no shore diving in the Upper Keys, that's from Key Largo to Islamorada. The reef system starts around 3 miles out, so the only way to get there is by boat. Take a look at Dive Capital Website. It contains the members of the Upper Keys Association of Dive and Snorkel Operators. Most of these shops work with hotels to offer their guest the best lodging prices, as well as, dive packages. If you have any questions of the area don't hesitate to contact us.

Good Diving,

Thanks a lot, Capt Gary and Walter,

I am just trying to plan as many dives as I can while staying there for about a week in Sept. So, I guess planning 2 trips a day for 5 days is the most I can do...

Thanks again!

Morning boat/afternoon boat and You can make it 3 a day if you're into night dives.
I like them the best!

Don't forget there are tons of boat rental places as well if you're comfortable handling one.

For some great links just make a thread asking for dive ops in the area where you'll be!

Guys like Capt Gary will toss ya some great boats/guides!!

What a dumb@ss I am! I just reread Capt Gary's post and he already did. I'll head back to my cave now!!

Have fun!!! Marc

TWTurtles, just drive up to Fort Lauderdale (actually best diving is just south of lauderdale)... lots of great shore dives, if you are interested, you can join up with us and we'll take you to some of the better spots.

Here is a photogallery of one of our dives (weather wasn't great, so a bit cloudy)
