Now thats old! Afeter todays dive disaster Im looking for a new dive op. We will be showing up there for sure.

Man, have you got us curious. You don't have to even mention names, but I am curious as to what qualifies as a disaster. Just curious, did today's large swell come into play or was it more a personality thing?

Feel free to comment within your comfort level.

The dive op was fine, it was the DM and the boat that were the problem, big problem! Just got home from the ER...When I get a reply from the other board member that was there I will post this whole story.
Anybody else have a problem with a 5 minute 85 foot dive? Thats surface to surface. How about ending up on the wrong boat? The list goes on..... Im waiting for the last persons input. I want to make sure I have everything right....

tiny hijack.....

Had a sinus infection that wouldn't go away, then went to Arizona for 2 weeks. Got home on Nov 29th and the hubby came home this past saturday (Dec. 3rd). We are going to Maui on the 9th, but not going to do any diving. Just drive around the island and relax at the resort. A whole weekend of NOTHING. Sounds great to me. We are hoping the swells go down enough to get some diving in before he goes back to work though.

Have you dove Maui before? The back wall and the shark tank are must do's as is Black, ummm, ask Kidspot, black rock, thats it! Thats sorta doing nothing. Just breathing underwater :)

Sorry to hear about the lame experience. I only did "seacave" once years ago, litterally dive number 7. It was short, but hardly just 5 minutes. I'd be looking for a refund or some sort of replacement dive.

85 for 5.... I still can't get over that... last dive I led was 102 for 71 (lots of shallow time).

Ending up on the wrong boat I have seen happen, but it shouldn't.

Uggh, you are probably (not knowing every last detail I can't say positively, but gosh, it sure sounds as though the captain should have picked a different site) right to call it a disaster.

Haven't dove Maui yet. Have no plans on diving this trip seeing as how it is just for a weekend. The next trip we will dive there.
