What deepsea21 said ^^^^. These days, I can either stay up late and party OR dive the next morning. But not both.

Oh, every now and then someone gets shot on the island over a drug thing. Its a city of 80,000+ people. You are going to have that.

Actually there was a female being contested, one person had a gun (probably a narco) but the "trigger" was over a chick!

Let me rephrase that as a drug culture thing, to include violence over women.

And you know whose fault that is, don't you? I would hazard a guess that their customers are mostly not locals.

The late night crowd at Señor Frogs is heavily locals

Don't kid yourself. There is plenty of drug usage among locals, just like everywhere else in the world.

As always happens, the person responsible was not detained and there are high probabilities that he is not detained for not having flagrante delicto, hardly two subjects were arrested to appear that the ministerial and municipal police work.
So.. the perpetrator got away, and the police arrested two random people in order to prove that the police work. Moreover, this is a common thing for the police to do.

I really hope that's a translation error

Wow, I think I'd rather get shot in the leg than find myself in a Mexican jail accused of shooting someone. That's a seriously bad day for the two who got arrested.
