Can you please send me a image of what your software program looks like? was it also worth the money?

my email's mmolter@mail.rit.edu

Im not sure what image you want more info

As far as the money goes well I dont really think it is worth what they are asking for it I got it for half price since my dive buddy uses the same computer we split the cost of it. It has some nice features but is lacking in others The help on it is very very poor. there is no website for support. I just got it so I havent really played with it much yet. Im sure I will find more likes and dislikes the more I play with it.

Hello all:
I have a Sherwood Wisdom 2 with download kit. I am a new diver with only 7 dives total and 3 since I got the Wisdom. I am also a gadget geek and software geek.

Several have asked if this is all worth it. The answer of course depends.

CONS : The software interface is pretty poor. It is not intuative nor is it well documented or explained in the help file. For example, you have to select a "+" sign in the tool bar to add dives. It took me an hour to find that. When you enter data sometimes it won't save the data - you have to exit the program, re-enter the data, and re-save. The end of the connector that hooks to the dive computer is very position sensitive and sometimes tricky to get positioned correctly.

The PROS : The data it collects is WAY COOL. I have learned more about my diving habits than I expected. It clearly shows my buoyancy challenges as well as my ever improving air consumption. The basics of the interface are clear and easy to read at depth. Once you get the connection positioned correctly the dive computer synchs with your PC and transfers data flawlessly.

Recommendation: Buy it. What you learn from reviewing the details of your dives will make you a better diver. Download often, and keep a back-up.

Enjoy!
Dave

I just bought a Sherwood Wisdom I off craigslist. It is in great condition. I wanted to get the download software but Sherwood only has the Wisdom II software on their site. Does anyone know of a source for the Wisdom I software?

I think the software is the same for all, its the cable thats different. I have the wisdom2 and downloaded the software which says "wisdom2" but all selections within the program are for wisdom.. no mention of wisdom2 anywhere.. the whole mess is very glitchy at best.. I have 45 dives logged on my wisdom2 but the software will only download the last 23.. has anybody else ran into this problem?? know how to solve it?

You can download the software for free from sherwoods website, you just have to create a profile which is free as well.

You can create two separate profiles within the software if you do not want to combine both profiles.

I think it worth it I have been using software download since they started 15+ yaers ago.

Whether $130 is "worth" paying for a $5 cable is hard to answer, but that's what they charge and I'm really glad I have mine for my Wisdom. I only log my dives by downloading my dive computers. I also have an Oceanic Veo 250 and at least I can share the cable between the two. The two most important things I look at after each dive are my SAC rate and my dive profile. On my profile I review bouyancy changes, ascent rates, NDL limits, deep stop and safety stop times, etc.
