I would love to see that. I am hoping that it eventually makes it to Albuquerque.

Well, I went and saw the documentary yesterday...all I can say is it left me speechless. I highly recommend everyone to see it.

The price of the ticket is $8.75. The movie is definately an eye opener!

Thanks for the info! I'm glad I got on here tonight or I wouldn't have seen your post in time! I'm going to try to see it. Esquire is off Colorado right? Been awhile since I've been to that one.

Glad you got the info in time...Sharkwater is a must see movie. If people are not concerned with the future of sharks, this movie has the power to make them concerned.

Esquire is located off of 6th and Downing. Hope you make it!

Well I made it to SharkWater...I didn't have time to check your response though about the location and I THOUGHT I knew where I was going! Once I made it to the Chez Artiste off Colorado I realized I had no idea. I guess I forget that I have GPS so thankfully I made it there just in time.

At first it was just my husband, myself and one other guy in the theater but a few more filed in before it started (about 9 people). It was really good and not as gory as I thought it might be. It was definitely sad, I thought the long line fishing was upsetting. They kill hundreds of other creatures on those lines when all they are interested in is the sharks. Then they just cut their fins off and dump them back in the water. One shark was still alive, all it's fins gone and it's head was barely attached and they threw him back in. I had no idea there is a Taiwanese shark mafia or that governments like Costa Rica were/are being paid off to allow this to happen when it's illegal. Also upsetting that they showed fishermen hoisting the tail of a whale shark out of the water which are endangered.

When I heard that the Galapagos (which I desperately want to dive) had legalized shark finning from pressure from the fishermen it made me think twice about wanting to go there. Then it said that they made it illegal again, I doubt that matters much since they seem to get away with it anyways. All so some people can have more texture in their soup or make them think they are gaining strength or immunity from a shark.

Sad thing is that if they had played this at more mainstream theaters, maybe more people would have seen it that wouldn't have thought much about this. Definitely work seeing. HUG A SHARK

The movie has been extended...it is still playing at the Esquire and is there until Thursday, November 15th. If you haven't seen it already, you really should!

As always, I'm a little late... any chance it will show again in the Denver area? I'd love to see it!
