Walter:
Diving is not too crowded during the festival. I'll be in Fort Lauderdale at Ocean Fest.
Can you tell me more about Ocean Fest?

Yeah, I am curious if it will be too crowded when you try to go thru those people to be able to dive in. Anyone else been there?

The festival is in a field near the airport. There are small crowds (think of a small town fair) at the festival. There are no crowds at the beach. There are probably fewer folks actually diving during the festival than when the festival is not running (everything else being equal).

Ha, just went to the Sharks Tooth Festival last weekend and diving as well. Alot of people were at the festival - wow! The parking lots were full of vehicles.

Diving - not too bad, the visibility was about 1-3'. I found a meg tooth along with several small shark teeth.

ScubaJW was in the water for about 30-40 minutes at the most, then she leaves. I can tolerate the cold for about 1 hour 15 minutes (basically when I start to run low of air anyway) every dive. She took the pictures when she was sunning on the beach after her dive. I use a 3/2 wetsuit, water temps is in high 60s. Visibility is 1 to 3 feet.
