I bet the true story is more like 3 persons died as a result of being bitten by sharks, then bleeding to death before getting out of the water.

Truth is sharks are ill equipped for eating US as large boned creatures because they have flesh cutting teeth. We are more suited for hyenas with bone crushing teeth, crocks with bone crushing teeth, and swallow food whole type carnivores. Don't quote me, I think I saw this on Jacques Cousteau.

I can't believe I've been misled to think sharks are deadly. The swimmer that died after a 22 inch bite in Solana Beach recently probably thought the same thing. Silly guy.
