Hawaii Shark Encounters
I have been out on a couple trips, with my friend Captain Juan.
Juan and I met while both of us worked at Deep Ecology.
My secret North Shore dive site, just offshore from where I lived for 5 years, is directly down wind/current from the chumming location. I was very disappointed that instead of more shark sightings, after they started chumming I actually never saw another shark at my secret dive site.
The girl I took on the shark encounter (first date) soon came to Maui and spent a week with me so I have to give the experience three thumbs up (wait, that's not a thumb).
