It would have been funny if it was a porn site that somehow did work in shipwrecks or diving.

We did not renew our URL for the DSD website. After 57 episodes we were not making any additional shows, and we have been out of production for more than 2 years. It seemed like a good idea to drop the site, and part of us moving on to other projects??

Ouch! That's one of the pitfalls of the Internet Age. You can get domain renewal for as low as $5 per year now (just parking, not hosting), at that rate it makes sense to set aside a few hundred to block it for life. It could have been set up to simply redirect to your johnchatterton.com site. Not renewing was a mistake - you could have auctioned the name for a few thousand bucks, I bet.

In hindsight, I'm sure he's not disagreeing with you. :)

mrlipis:
I have never seen or heard of Deep Sea Detectives but it is now on my Tivo "to do list".

The U-352 episode is the best one:D

Its just silly to think you can really dive with a buddy in NJ and upper Atlantic areas. While it may not be for normal rec divers, I find it most comfortable with my doubles and redundant gear set up.

Not for everyone, but also not something to judge on unless you prectice it.

I read both Shadow Divers and The Last Dive and really like both. I admire Chatterton, but I disagree with the concept of solo diving being safer.

I'm just wishing there will be a Dive Portal issue 4! I just got issue three the other day and loved it. I especially liked the Spiegel Grove segment as I dove the wreck April of last year. I sure wish there was a way for Dive Portal to continue on.

Me too..I've enjoyed those! I'm going to try to get on the SG next time I'm down (possibly April/May...definately November again) and seeing that part of the video made me want to dive it even more!

I'm looking forward to diving it again. I was on the middle section of the ship and want to explore the bow next time. I had the pleasure of meeting a Marine colonel who served aboard her when she was still in service. It gave the wreck new meaning to actually know someone who once walked her decks.

2Tours, thank you for your service. Freedom exists because of people like you.

John C, how is your new RB working out? Before you become the great John Chatternton diving action hero, LOL, what things were the most difficult for you as a new diver and how did you overcome those things?
