Talk to ScubaToys .. you'll get helpful advice you can count on, and help on the price as well ... just what we've come to expect from them :)

My instructors only advice to me about regs ... Get solid, middle of the road, reg .. avoid getting "entry level" regs, not because there unsafe (none are) but because a reg can last you a lifetime of diving and why buy something that you'll want to replace soon when you find your not not happy with the performance compaired to something a bit better
.. was good advice and I'm happy with my SP Mk18/G250HP that I picked up for a very good price

A little bit more patients with begining SB newcomers would show some humility on you part.

:no Actually a little more civility on your part would get you more friends too. Rainer is simply asking you to check the archives before posing the question. Your question is not new and has been asked many times before. You can find out a lot here before creating a new thread.

Just go get yourself an Aqua Lung Titan and be done with it. Calm down, take a breath, it is all good and so is the simple, proven and respected Titan and serviceable world wide.

to all of the folks that I keep seeing with helpful posts on my threads (like Nemrod) thank you. for all others here with actual usable and specific information. thank you. I did not expect actual links but that is awsome and easy. thank you.

anyone who wishes to start a thread may do so within the guidelines of this site. If you don't like it too bad. I will only say that from here on in you will be ignored by me. Saying noting sould get NO attention. I see all of the other sheep come out to join the heard when negative attention is given. I won't be supporting that.

back to whatsimportant...I plan on doing even further research on the recommendations given here. thanks and keep them coming.

I'm not decided on titanium and understand fully my low budget. I have a titanium knife and the thing is still as sharp as when i FIRST bought it and not a single rust spot or blemish. Than again I nver had to take it out for use underwater and nevr want to. But it comes with me on every dive. I figure I would ask especially that this metal is lighter than other. and I am concerned about comfort when it comes to the reg.

for those who actually took the time to follow my threads the reason I'm looking into a reg set is that at first I was looking to get the spare air but alot of good folks set me straight on that. Thy suggested that I look into a reg. here I am.

There were only 1.5 posts in the whole thread that were not people trying to be genuinely helpful. You should have just stopped at Thank you....

Know how many divers died this Summer in Florida due to buying low cost regulators?

Zero.

The people who make Mares, Oceanic, and Tusa have figured out how to make a darn good regulator with a minimum of parts. That means it sells for less. The performance I find to be excellent, even below 100 feet. If you don't need levers, knobs and an LCD display, that Mares unit from Scuba Toys would be a good choice.

As far as titanium is concerned, I believe that there are only a few on the market at the moment, the Atomic T2 ($1299.00, there's one on eBay at the moment for $810.00); the ScubaPro "T" models (from $900 to $1,200) and the Cressi-Sub Ellipse Titanium Regulator ($378.00 ).

If my regulator budget was $300, I'd get a Mares Proton MR-12 or an AquaLung Titan LX Supreme Regulator from Leisure Pro. If your real hot for Titanium (and I think this one's just coated) LP has the Cressi for $279.00.

ScubaToys deal: Mares R2 Rebel Package is incredable.

vry informative. I thank you so much.

can anyone tell me how important it is to haveadjustments on the reg itself? keep in mind the type of diving that I do. thanks.
