Nitric oxide (NO) the vasodilator, is not the same as nitrous oxide (N2O) the anesthetic laughing gas, is not the same as nitrox, the oxygen enriched diving gas (O2 and N2 mixture). It’s the difference between to, too, and two. Maybe OP husband is just really excited about diving.

Good call. I missed the 2.
I was too busy laughing.

Seriously, there are three variables that you can change to see if enriched air is related to your husband’s issue.
Variable 1. He could do a few dives on conventional air with you at Bonaire.
Variable 2. He could do a few dives on enriched air with a different buddy at Bonaire.
Variable 3. Hew could do a few dives on enriched air with you at a place not named Bonaire.
I’m placing my bets on variable 2 being the one that makes a difference. For variable 3, I suggest Florida City as a location. The Spanglish abbreviation would be Fla. Cid.

you asked for a solution. It's obvious he doesn't need nitrox to feel well. Stop using it.

I wanted to say this yesterday bu’t want to kill the vibe. Knew the D jokes would be sprouting by morning.

Funny jokes, people.

He's not the most attentive diver, I'm the one keeping him alive, so I don't think he notices any difference in air and nitrox diving. It's just so much easier diving with nitrox for recovery and top time, and in general I think we both don't feel as tired on nitrox. And since it's free on Bonaire, and we're both so good at getting our money's worth, of course we want nitrox.

From the sounds of things, doesn't seem like diving air is what's leaving the two of you tired.....

And just to keep on topic....I just recently made a few dives on EAN32 and didn't notice any increase in the nether regions. My wife would definitely have told me otherwise.

But I have to say...this thread is GOLD

Why are we trying to get rid of the thing, anyway?
Uses:
Long hose divers without a canister light can loop their hose around their hose.
Replaces the stainless steel pointer rods. “Look over here!”
If he’s man enough, reef hook.

I’m sure there are others.

“Are you a tech diver?”
“Nah. The doubles are for bottom time. The argon is for the dry suit. The EAN Is for my backup buoyancy device!!!”
(I understand fluid movement doesn’t affect buoyancy. It’s a joke, people!)

If he’s man enough, reef hook.

Did you REALLY have to go there? There are some things that cannot be unseen including mental images that occur after reading certain forum posts.

Now I'm picturing the poor guy (sans wetsuit) trying to climb a boarding ladder in rough seas.
