For what it's worth, I took everyone's advice and did call DAN. Thanks for that advice, by the way. While it is on my "to-do" list to become a member of DAN, I didn't realize that service existed in the first place (let alone for non-members).
After a [very] lengthy conversation with one of the medics/doctors there, I was informed that my symptoms were decidedly not hypothermia but, rather, over-exhaustion brought about by several factors including potential dehydration, not being "dive fit," and working too hard swimming at depth and chasing after that dive flag marker buoy.
Thanks to everyone who helped and suggested calling DAN. I really appreciate it.
