Hi,
I have a Seemann SA240 compressor, which is a Coltri MCH16 with a custom filtering system.
On the separator there is supposed to be a "foam pad". Does anybody know what kind of foam this is?
There are no longer parts for this compressor being sold and I would like to replace this pad (the original disintegrated...)

Thank you
Luis

Heck Günther Seemann sold the company years ago to Robert Stoss ex Scubapro Germany and Scuba Schools International you have no chance getting spares for the filter. But............

The filter stack was clever and has had a bit of a revival with Bauer on the cheap Poseidon range, and with Compair and a couple of others but again no specific spares.

If its on the separator there were two pads fitted, one on the top originally made from lambswool, then real felt. You just need a willing lamb sacrifice or a lamb chop with the hair still on.

The other was at the bottom of the separator a little round tube originally made out of sintered glass fibre.

Get up to speed and use a polyester "felt" pad 10 Mu range you need 50mm OD by 12mm (2" OD by 0.50" 1/2" thick) Any of the US compressor parts stockists will have it or use a Laurance Factors 2" pad and double up and stack two (2) 1/4" thick pads on top of each other.

If its the bottom filter its a tad more difficult it fitted under a cone. The "Top Hat" filter originally came from a low pressure filter element from a small LP garage filter set. It was Parker or Balston or some such, again its an off the shelf part for the 1/2 inch size.
This was a 1/2" ID tube 30mm long and wtith a heavy wall thickness around 3/4" OD Hope it helps. Iain
