Still no measurable progress on the Atlanta front. Actually, it almost sounds like we're regressing on that front. As of my last call, they said something about looking for other people who want to take the course so as to mitigate the expense for me, which is something that had never been mentioned before. (I think I was talking to the guy from whom the "give him SDI's number and let him find someone closer" concept came, as he voiced unbelief at there being no SDI Solo instructors in Louisiana or Mississippi -- a fact that has been covered ad nauseum.)
I have a trip with my LDS this weekend, so I'm not going to bother with anything right now, but I might have to be calling Austin after that (unless our DM course is starting in earnest, in which case there'll be a slight delay -- go figure). Austin is something like 7 hours away instead of eight for Atlanta, but I'd really like to visit my sister in Atlanta (and maybe not having to pay for a place to stay is nice, too). Not much I can do if they won't offer the class.
(If I *do* end up picking up the class somewhere else, I'm going to have to make it a point to drop by the shop in Atlanta to show them the card. It'd give me a chance to tell them that they needn't bother with me again... ever... and that I will be recommending against them in the future. There's still hope for now, however, and they may yet pull off an effort deserving of a conditional recommendation; I fear the time may already have passed for an unconditional recommendation -- but, perhaps, I could be surprised.)

As far as I can tell, not only do they count, but they're practically cheating. It's no fair having already learned much of what's to be taught in the class, eh? :biggrin:Do logged solo dives count towards the 100 dive minimum to qualify for taking the solo cert course?
