My wife and I are new to scuba diving and went on our honey moon in December 2013 and stayed at Secrets Capri Riviera Mexico. I got certified at Bonne Terre Mine in the states before we left and had about 8 dives under my belt. My wife tried to get certified but she could not handle the 58 degree water in the cave and she has never worn a wetsuit before. So when we arrived at the resort the dive operator on site is Aqua World and they were amazing. My wife was not going to dive since she had a panic attack back home the last time she tried, but the Dive Master/ Instructor spoke excellent English and gave her a free pool session and worked with her until her fears were gone. They have there own private boat on sight so there is no getting on a bus and driving to another location. The boat captain and the two dive masters will do every thing they can to make sure you have a great dive. the reef is about a 10 min boat ride and the water was 82 degrees and visibility was great about 65' or more feet. my wife got certified while we were down there. While she was on a cert dive with one of the instructors, I went with the other instructor and a Dive Master who was there on vacation from Belgium, they took me on my first deep dive 101' deep and we spearfished lionfish. once we got done diving for the day the boat captain filleted the lionfish and The resort had me sign and waiver and I got to pick which restaurant on the resort cooked the fresh fish. It is now my favorite fish to eat. over all The trip was great my wife and I had a great time and there is no reason to walk the beach looking for other dive companies because the Aqua World booth next to the pool is the only stop you need to make. you can dive on sight with there personal boat or they offer dive trips to Cozumel and the Cenotes. I highly recommend there dive services.
