Guys, what do you so like Taj for?
As for me I like Mexican caves for decorations, thus Taj is not in the top of my rating.

For me it was the variety, it wasn't as vividly decorated as other caves. But you start in an area with the typical grey limestone and mildly decorated, then you jump into an area with lacey swiss cheese limestone that looks like the reefs it was formed from, after that you have the haloclines to play with, and finally entered into a large vertically oriented room with small translucent stalactites covering the ceiling.

All of that on a single dive down the Chinese Garden line. I am curious what is done the other lines in that area. Now the Jumja river line wasn't that impressive. But there were still some nice areas.

But being Florida cave divers we have strange tastes, sometimes I think it is cool to find a huge dome that I never knew about before.

I saw photos of people doing their advanced open water checkout dives in Buford and just shook my head.

Doesn't surprise me.

I think it would be great to just pick one spot in Mexico for each trip. Spend the entire trip getting to know that one cave like I have done in Florida. Now I need to find a buddy that's into exploring a spot rather than "Cave Hopping".
Kind of what we did last time at taj. I think we racked up close to 10 hours in taj over 3 dives last trip. I feel like I know a good part of it very well now. It can be just as rewarding learning a cave as it can be seeing new cave
