Has anyone done a shore dive out of the Seashore (First Landing) State park 64th Street boat ramp? I was down there the other day and the water was pretty clear. Three concerns come to mind: boat traffic (high), water depth (shallow) and currents (strong). Charts indicate all three could present a problem, but maybe in the winter the traffic abates to where it could work if you time the currents right. Has anyone tried it?

I haven't ever dived in Virginia Beach, though I would like to. I got certified at school in Harrisonburg but grew up at the beach and its still technically my main residence. If you find out that it's feasible I'd be interested in joining if you need a buddy.
