I am going to need to buy a new computer next year and saw the Seac Jack. Does anyone have any experience with this computer? Looks like what I am looking for, wrist compiter, 4 buttons, and buhlmann. Hoping to get some user feedback or thoights on Seac in general.

Looking at the manual it seems to be geared as much or more towards free diving. The GFs are a pre-selected set, so you can't choose your own. It's not clear how it will react to a perceived deco violation, whether with a lock-out or just a warning.

Hi @thbcthomas

The Seac Jack was reviewed in Scuba Diving Magazine in 2017. The article and a link to the ScubaLab hyperbaric chamber testing are available online: 11 New Dive Computers Tested By ScubaLab In 2017

The Jack uses Buhlmann ZH-L16B, most computers use ZH-L16C. There are 6 preset GFs, the most liberal being 93/93 (pg 25 of the manual). Appears NDLs are somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of liberal to conservative, more conservative than your ProPlus 2. There is a deco control that turns deco violation lock out on or off. When on, there is a 12 hour lock out (pg 26 of manual). Audible alarms can be disabled.

Best of luck in your computer purchase decision
