Also, I tried the ginger tabs...did not work at all for me.

I have also tried Ginger pills after watching an episode of Mythbusters that showed that they worked. They didn't do squat for me either.

Could be that you don't really have that much of a tendency to get sea sick in the first place. Could have just been the conditions on that day that you did were just right to cause it. Everyone gets seasick sometimes.

Taking the pills could also possibly be supplying you with a placebo effect. The mind is pretty powerful!

Yes, I've considered that. I don't often have a big problem with seasickness, but when I'm looking down into the boat and lose sight of the horizon I often have that little twinge that convinces me I'm going to start feeling ill. And once I start to feel ill, it's a downhill slide.

So placebo or not, the cost is well worth it to me!

If it works for you and makes the difference between a miserable trip and good day so be it.

I also get twinges as well, but after years of sailing, am pretty good at making it go away or even sometimes, making it worse quicker if I am already on the downhill slide. For me, after I barf I always feel better!

My husband, on the other hand, we load him up with the drugs!:D
