I agree with the above. But avoid super greasy, fatty foods and then going out on rough seas. I can tell you from experience that bacon DOES NOT taste better the second time around........
Yeah, should have mentioned that... something light. Burping grease definitely takes away from the dive:)

As someone who actually gets severely sea sick even on giant cruise ships and ferries. Bonine, dramamine, ginger, looking at the horizon, standing on one leg and patting my head, nothing works except for Kwells (scopolamine).
Can be bought on eBay in the USA. I much prefer this over the hassle of getting the prescription patch that takes 3-4 hours to kick in. I can take a kwells 15 min before getting on the boat and not get sea sick one bit. And no side effects that I've noticed

This is my experience.

A non-medicinal remedy is something called Sea Bands. In the US, they are sold by the Bonine and Dramamine. They are two knit bracelets with a plastic marble on the underside. You put the bracelet on lining it up with the crease of your wrist closest to your hand, and lining the marble between the two tendons in your wrist. It works holistically. So it either works for you or it does nothing. I used to get horiffically sick by any kinds of motion-car, boat or plane. These worked a charm, even through raging storms on cruise ships. They got me through my motion sickness and I'm fine now. There are generic versions of these that I've bought that worked just the same. I love them, but don't need them any more. You don't end up sleepy or with any side effects at all!!
