Hey Sam...
Thanks for filling in the blank spots... and the slick seque to Sam Lecocq on the "first job" question...
As to Sam Lecocq...
Well... after finding your article on Mssr. Lecocq on History Hunters International, I know a lot more about hime that I did *before* finding the article...

Interesting fella'. Member of the Maquis during WWII... Came to the US in 1951. Went to work in CA for Rene Bussuz, founder of US Divers in 1952. Sam was assigned to Skokie, Ill to establish and supervise the manufacture of AquaLung at Bastian and Blessing Co.
On Jan 1, 1956 US Divers was sold to Aire Liquide and Sam shifted jobs and went with Heathways to develop their underwater line of products.
In 1958 SAm Lecocq found his own company, Sportsways, for the manufacture and sale of recreational diving equipment.
Sam Lecocq is credited with being the inventor of the single hose requlator.
(Also discoverd that (as of May 5, 1971) he owned Pacific Diver's Supply and was the skipper of the *Kona Sea*...)...
Can't find a thing on the Sea Hunt part though...
Now... on to other bits:
Don't live near Karo, Kairo... er... that place down south. Live up near Peoria.... land of mud pit divin' ... ;-) But... hey... ya' take what's available and some of the quarrys around here are really nice.
I'll mark the PortageQuarry thing on my PDA... don't know what August is going to bring yet... but... don't be suprised if some guy walks up asks if ya' like a chunk-o'-cornbread (ummm.... butter or honey on that????)
... and I believe that a *true* Sea Hunt fan would be as geeky about the characters, crew and tech details surrounding the show as they might be about the somewhat sketchy plot lines... and given that the show had a very *real world* impact on many of us... I enjoy understanding more about the real world lives of some of the folks that were on the show... so... to ME (my opinion... other people's milage may vary) the Q&A regarding folks associated with the show is a nice spice to the thread... makes em' a bit more *people*...
... my tuppence...
