I had the opportunity to try this camera on a "demo day" a few weeks ago. I too was considering making this purchase. This demo made me realize that I won't be buying this camera. For one, the batteries only lasted two dives. The battery icon showed 100% on the beginning of my second dive, but by the time I took only a few pictures, the icon was showing nearly no charge left. When the batteries started dying, the camera took an extradorinarily long time to process the shot. The screen shut down and I had to hit the power button each time to turn it back on. The pictures that were taken were so fuzzy that they were worthless. When I took the picture, the screen showed a clear shot, but when I downloaded them, they were too fuzzy to see what I took a picture of.
Next time I will try the DX3000G or the Motor Marine III.
