Interesting, but I fail to see the difference between novas and gorillas. Would someone be kind enough to explain ?

I had a pair of the original sea wings, from 1991 till 2000, but had to ditch them as they were dead. Never had a chance to try the new ones.

They look the same but the gorillas are stiffer.
 
Significantly stiffer, I could do all kicks in them including frog kick. I found the Novas to be akin to wet cardboard, IME good for flutter but not much else.
