Scubapro miflex hose on non Scubapro reg?

It does not require a "specialized" wrench, surely y'all jest? The regulator hose will require a 7/16 or 1/2 or 9/16 open end wrench. Those are all common sizes that most people should have around.

You should NOT use pliers, Channel Locks or any sort of crude tool to snug the hose onto the second stage and the first stage. These fittings are really hardly more than hand tight.

Wrapping a fitting with a sock and then tightening with a plier, okay, that is a little too lazy for me. If somebody put a plier on one of my regs I would have a fit over it. And I would never admit to using pliers, wow.

And if it does require a "specialized" tool then send it back and get the Miflex because they require standard wrenches and there is nothing unusual or special about the fittings on a Miflex hose.

Uhmmm. No... the fitting of a Scubapro hose is a rounded ribbed one, not a hex- like nut. A regular hex or box wrench will not work. Technically speaking the proper tool should be used, but pliers &/ or channel locks with teeth will work. Sorry to burst your bubble.
