I just LOVE how they refuse to let their dealers ship ScubaPro products. I live 2 hours from my closest dive shop, and I really don't feel like a 4 hour round trip to buy a damn piece of equipment that I should be allowed to have shipped to my door.

I want their products, but I'm not going to jump through hoops to buy them.

They should be aware that not all of their customers live right next to a dive shop. [/rant]

Leisure Pro and DiveInn have good prices on scubapro and will ship right to your door. No need to jump through hoops-go around them

You'll lose the ScubaPro warranty if you buy through LeisurePro, although their own in-house warranty is present. Don't know about DiveInn.

ya, warranty is important to me :)

I think Im to used to the online way of life, so that when something like this comes up it totaly freaks me out

Then you need to be prepared to make the 4 hour drive to take them in for warranty service, so you may as well make the 4 hour trip to purchase them.

Excellent point Jason.

I do however disagree with the original poster.

I own the following Scubapro products and have had every single one of them shipped to my door by the dealer(s) without any problems. I think it must be a policy of your LDS.

Ladyhawk BCD
UWATEC Computer
MK25/S600 regulator
Full 3mm S-tek wetsuit
S-tek hooded vest
Giant Wheeler bag

Furthermore, when the zipper broke on my wheeler bag, they sent me a BRAND new bag. No questions asked, no proof of prchase required.....nada. I had had the bag for two years, zipper broke and I culdn't find anyone to fix it, so I decided to see if Scubapro could fix it. I was even willing to pay for it. Instead, I got a brand new bag completey free of charge (except $13 round-trip shipping).

When they had the recall on the computers, I received a brand new computer within 2 weeks, shipped to my door.

I think Scubapro service is one of the top in the industry, and I've dealt with several manufacturers in the industry.

I believe its more the other way around. A lot of posts on this board indicate that ScubaPro does not "let" dealers ship items via mail-order. Sounds like your LDS is being sneaky... that or the ScubaPro policies have changed recently.

Could be, I certainly could be wrong. However, I have ordered my stuff from different dive shops as well, it's not just one shop being sneaky. It could have something to do with the relationship I have with these shops and the fact that I am not buying these items for the first time.

I agree though with Jason. If you are not willing to make the drive to purchase the items, what do you plan to do when your equipment needs serviced...which is a necessity!

I work at a ScubaPro dealer, I'm a ScubaPro guy. We ship stuff all the time. We're not allowed to sell stuff below 10% of the current catalog price. We're also not allowed to sell stuff over the internet, so technically I can't offer to sell you some fabulous ScubaPro gear and ship it to your doorstep right now, so I'll refrain. But like I said, we ship stuff all the time. ;)
