I like my Knighthawk. It is extremely comfortable, rotating buckles etc. I've got the Air2 and a Vytec, I can't stand hoses hosing up my dive.

I know theres a lot of bp&w fans here and don't know if i'm ready for that setup yet. I just bought a sp knighthawk from my lds. Anybody out there dive this bc? Any thoughts + or - ?

5/31/05; Are you looking to sell your Knighthawk BC? What size is it?

Just gave my Knighthawk a good test, as I returned from SE Asia with about 30 dives. I was afraid after reading many post that on the surface I would be shunted forward, not the case! I don't wear a wet suit diving just a rash guard and some polyeflin shorts, a very comfortable fit with this BC. I am just a recreational diver and enjoy the AIR2 (don't go there), biggest drawback with the Knighthawk is the small pockets, rather useless.

Knighthawk, I see it can be used with DOUBLES, has any one used them that way? How are they for a long surface swim with twin tanks? and what size tanks are you using? I want to get one.

I like the backpack feel of it when walking out on our beach dives
I traded in my SP Glide Plus for the Knighthawk when the "inflated jacket squeeze" was too much for me on those long surface swims out , I do miss those pockets though

I used to dive with two AL80 tanks. Actually, it is an independent double. I am not sure about a long surface swimming. I did 50m surface swimming with a twin jet fin. I didn’t have any problem with that.

I have one too, with 15 dives on it. I tried one on it the shop and it fit like a glove. I too, like the extra lift if needed, since I'm weighted pretty heavy to break the surface.

While looking at BC's one of the guys showed me a DiveRite wing and harness assembly. The reason I didn't buy it?? I didn't want to portray a diver with more experience than I was. Stupid I know, but it's just me.

I actually had a DM say to me, "Oh, you are diving a wing". I suspect that the transition to a bp/w isn't very great from a Knighthawk. I really LIKE mine!

Safe diving!

As I've posted elsewhere, I too like the Knighthawk, mainly because it fits very well and has a pretty minimalistic profile in the water. Regarding the pockets, I keep a mini Q40 LED light in one, and a smallish safety sausage in the other, where I pretty much don't need to think about them, and where they don't clutter up my D-rings. I find the pockets to be hard to put things into while in the water, so I only really use them for this "backup" gear. There is a larger fold-down pocket on the right, but I haven't had cause to use it more than once or twice.

I have the glide plus w/ AIR2. What's wrong w/ AIR2?
