What are the skegs for? Are they optional?

I bought online, very few online have them in stock and two local dealers didn’t either here in Denver.What's the best way to purchase/try the GoSports? Should I look for an LDS that is a SP dealer, or roll the dice and buy online?
Not so fast!Ok thanks. I guess travel and warm water are synonymous. Guess folks wouldn't travel to dive in cold water.
Just read your CI trip report - really nice. One of these days I'll man up and try cold water. I know I'm missing a lot...I, too, traveled one trip for cold water diving, because it offered me things I couldn't get anywhere else. Garibaldi, kelp forest, bat rays, harbor seals, California sea lions...quite a range of animals on a Channel Islands trip out of California
