The blue ring on the G260 is made so you can remove face plate underwater and not drop ring.

Yes, the blue slip ring will fit with the CF covers but it is not retained by the clips. The slip ring with the anti-rotation tab is the specified part but I am tempted to cut that tab off anyways so the blue rings would have done as well. The anti-rotation tab purpose is to prevent the slip ring from turning as the cover is tightened down and possibly damaging or unseating the diaphragm. Of course the blue slip ring does not have an anti-rotation tab and none of my G250 slip rings do and this has never been a problem. I guess in the end I wanted to keep the original covers ready to go for those times when being pretty is secondary to being just functional.
