Most SP regs have an 8-digit serial number system. First 3 are the day of the year of manufacture, such as 067 would be March 8th; 4th and 5th digits are the year of manufacture, such as 98 would be 1998; last 3 digits are the production number of that unit on that day, such as 038 would be the 38th regulator of that type built that day. You have provided only 7 digits in the serial number of your reg in question, so I guess I don't know what you have?

Only 7 digits total in the serial number. 8909600 stamped below mouthpiece on 109 2nd stage. 8909600 stamped on the box under "Catalog Number". 4 lp ports. Old style light yoke, but it's stamped 3000.

My 4 port is 8907908, it has the big ambient holes and had the lighter yoke, DIN now. All of my older mk5’s have the heavy yoke.
