I finally hit the halfway point on my car repair now that I've had a few free days to work on it. It turns out I was right... the head gasket is blown. In another 15 hours or so, I should have it all put back together and be ready to go diving.

I may also be picking up a 17' larson outboard runabout and a trailer, but I have to go look at it first.

Good to hear that it's fixable Matt.

Maybe once you fix the scubamobile, I'll have the time and the sanity to get back into the water.... nah.

You buy the boat, I'll buy the beer!

And dude...you need to clean those fingernails :)

Glad the car is repairable. Hope to see you in the water again soon.

The fingernails in the picture aren't mine... they're my dad's.

Get ready Mer... it's going back together pretty smoothly, so I'll be looking for a buddy really soon!

What part of boston are you from. I'd be willing to play taxi if you wanted to get out on sat. I'd be coming from the north. I was just going to do the 10:00 meet thing at CAD anyway.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in Cohasset right now while playing grease monkey, and cape ann is at least an hour and a half north of here. I think I'll just get this finished and go from there.

Matt, great to hear that you're close to getting back into the ocean! You know it's been calling your name! Think the "Loyale wid'cheese" will be ready for Sat? I can be convinced very easily to spend a day up at cape ann... Anything's better than getting up at 6 for the date@8... :)

Notabob, What time were you thinking of for sat. I'm looking for a buddy to go with. I'll PM my info to you if you want to meet up for some dives.

That westy's a pretty rare shade of green... I was under the impression they only used it for VW execs in germany. I only know this becaues my friend Jon used to own a westy that looked pretty much exactly like yours minus the stickers, and he said he had only ever seen two the same color in several cross country trips. Out of curiosity, when and where did you get it? I can't help but wonder if it's the same one.
