Ditto to all of these! I see we're diving together Sunday; any time you want to walk into town, let me know; I'm planning on at least one town jaunt myself. And I LOVE hanging in/at the pool there in the afternoon. My previous trip there was five years ago, but that was one of my fave things.

Is there very much shade around the pool to escape the sun?

There are tables with umbrellas and lots of lounge chairs that get more or less shade depending on the time of day. Here's a photo from the hotel website. When I was there five years ago, most of the chairs were shaded in the afternoons, depending on the angle of the sun at the time. You can see it in this screenshot from the hotel website.
