I haven't heard of anything like this. I just did a sitewide search and didn't see any info on this happening, either.

There was a conversation about it on the Scuba Discord server, and someone posted on WetPixel as recently as December that they had experienced this going into Cabo. Someone else on the server said they’d just come back from Coz and hadn’t experienced this, so hopefully it is isolated to Baja.

If they think to claim I'm a professional with my TG6/housing, then I'll show them the mediocre pictures I get. That'll dispel the myth immediately.

I’m right there with you. The pictures I get are good enough for my wall, but they’re certainly not hanging on anyone else’s.

You have lots to see snorkeling at the resort no excursion needed IMO.

There is a nice sheltered area to snorkel in as you can see in the picture. If she's capable, you can also venture outside of that area along the wall and roped-off areas. Do keep in mind, that sometimes the current can get strong, but usually not. Also if she's age-appropriate, Dive Paradise offers a free discovery scuba. And if you like once we're there and you feel she may want more, you could book a snorkeling trip or venture to Chankanaab for the afternoon. I'm also going to add this to our Travel thread.
